Overview

To support Fresh Clinics expansion into proactive medicine, I designed a modular health tracking system that replaced manual paper processes. By automating calculations and visualising patient progress, we achieved a 22% increase in consultations per clinic and reached a 60% adoption rate among nurses within the first month

Context

We were transforming Fresh Clinics from a cosmetic platform into Fresh Health, a holistic healthcare initiative. The mission was to help nurses grow their businesses through new services like longevity and weight loss. I led the effort to adapt our cosmetic-first workflows into a versatile clinical framework that could support this new direction

Problem

While the goal was to expand into new services, our manual workflow was a major bottleneck. Nurses found the new consultations time consuming, manually calculating BMI and tracking weight on paper, that they struggled to see the ROI in adopting the new services. To make this pivot successful, we had to reduce the administrative burden, proving to our nurses that these new modalities could be highly effective for their patients and unlock new revenue

Solution

We transformed the consultation from an administrative task into a high-value check-in. This saved nurses 5 minutes per session, but more importantly, it provided the visual transparency patients needed to see their progress. Having clear, data-backed follow-ups gave nurses a sense of purpose and the confidence to justify their consultation fees. This shift in experience drove a 22% growth in clinic consultations, successfully unlocking a new recurring revenue stream for Fresh

Turning data entry into a meaningful conversation

During use testing, nurses revealed they felt "blind" when entering new data. They needed to see the previous entry on-screen as they logged current metrics, as this was the exact moment patients asked, "How am I doing compared to last month?" I redesigned the entry flow to keep historical data in view, turning a cold data-entry task into a meaningful, data-backed conversation between the nurse and patient

Collaborating with engineering to build a scalable system

A major strategic hurdle was deciding between a custom weight-loss tool or a flexible framework. I had to manage expectations with our CEO, a doctor who initially preferred a highly specific, rigid interface. I successfully advocated for a modular "toolbox" approach. By collaborating with engineers to align the UI with the backend appointment architecture, we ensured that new modalities, like menopause or hair loss, could be "toggled on" and configured through a centralised Superadmin

Defining a V1 milestone to drive impact

Faced with a strict one-sprint cycle and competing stakeholder priorities, I led a collaborative session with product and engineering to define a lean V1 milestone. By focusing on the highest-impact features, the clinical calculator and basic trends, we ensured speed to market and stability. This allowed us to bypass assumptions and begin gathering real-world feedback to inform our future iterations
